Butanal CAS#123-72-8

Butanal CAS#123-72-8
Iupac Name:butanal
CAS No.: 123-72-8
Molecular Weight:72.10572
Introduction:
Butanal (C4H8O) is an organic compound and belongs to the class of aldehydes. It is a saturated four-carbon aldehyde, also known as butyraldehyde, and is structurally characterized by a terminal aldehyde functional group. At room temperature, butanal is a colorless liquid with a sharp, pungent odor often described as unpleasant or irritating. Due to its low boiling point of approximately 75 °C, it is highly volatile and readily evaporates into the air when exposed.
